Lilacs at Peak

Fresh from our lilac bush into my favorite white flower basket...

Here they are cheering up the daybed corner and smelling heavenly...

I put them in vases to disperse them throughout the house...

Perfect lavender color against the whites...

I only wish they lasted longer.  Hope you're enjoying sweet spring flowers, too!

Cheerful Spring

Just sharing some cheerful spring vignettes with you on this lovely day....

I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's days with your Mom and/or your children.  Were you able to kick your feet up and rest?

These peonies were a sweet gift from my family.  They know me well!

They're on display next to this old galvanized bucket I found at the flea market.

I love its' faded old label:

This week I hope to paint our kitchen walls.  They have a subtle yellow color that I am quite tired of, so I intend to paint them a dove white or something similar.  You can see the pale yellow behind this sweet old milk pitcher:

Wish me luck - I'll share the 'after' photos soon!

New Flea Market Finds, French Larkspur Treasures and 1st Communion!

Hello friends!  Our family just had a whirlwind weekend celebrating our son's First Holy Communion, and what a special day that was.  I'll share more on that later in the post...

First I wanted to quickly share some new listings on Etsy:

I was happy to discover these crochet pieces and vintage colored pencils box at the flea recently.  They rest on some fabulous transferware plates!

I adore the patina and blue color on these plates - gorgeous!!

I also found these vintage yarn cones in delightful colors:

And have you heard that Tracey from French Larkspur is back from France and has stocked her shop with the amazing French flea market finds?  I couldn't resist purchasing this ribbon and these buttons from her, and she was so kind to include a page from a French book.  I hope to use these in crafts soon.
Thank you Tracey!

Now on to the most important thing that's happened to us recently.  My sweet little boy received First Holy Communion for the first time on Saturday.  We had a beautiful day, and family came from 3 different states to celebrate.  Outside our beautiful church a parade passed by with American Idol finalist Angie Miller.  She had returned for her hometown parade and concert!  It was a bit surreal to hear the marching band and cheers during our Mass.  An exciting and happy day for many!

Here's our special guy - our celebrity that day:

Hope you're all enjoying a splendid May so far!
